midterms?? already?

i cannot believe that it is already midterm week! where has the time gone?? this semester is seriously flyyying by. anyhow...although it is midterms week (boo!), i have already taken them all besides one that i have tomorrow (yay!). so far they have gone surprisingly well. instead of studying the weekend before my exams, i went to ireland. it probably wasn't the smartest move, considering i didn't start studying for any of my tests until the night before and i was awake almost all night...but oh well, they're almost over!

i've never actually had midterms in every single class before, but school in europe is a lot different than at home. and every one of my tests here have been essay tests. they're not easy or fun, but i do actually feel like i'm learning more than with a regular multiple choice test at home. we were talking to some Danish guys in Ireland and they asked us "so...in the US, is it true that you really take multiple choice tests??" it was funny, but it was also pretty embarrassing.

after my last midterm is over tomorrow night i have a lot of blogging to catch up on and i also have to pack for fall break :) we're leaving thursday morning for London and will spend 5 days there and then go to Paris for 4 days. so exciting! i also need to go buy a winter coat soon...it's freezing here! i was totally not expecting the weather to be so cold this early in the fall. the heat in our apartment won't be turned on for a few more days so we've been bundling up while we're just sitting around the apartment. i've been wearing two pairs of socks, two pairs of pants, a sweatshirt, scarf, AND wrapping a blanket around myself just to keep relatively warm!
