we were here for so many days before we started school, we kind of forgot that's what we were here for. it was just like an extended vacation...but, all good things must come to an end...and we had to start class. the first week was both good and bad...but mostly good. to my surprise, all of my teachers were awesome. nice, funny, patient...the whole works. i'm taking beginner's italian, the making of modern europe, the food of italy, and international politics. i think i'm actually going to enjoy the content of each class. the only bad parts....lots of reading (as always) and each class is super long....2 hours and 30 minutes each class period. but, i only have class on mondays, tuesdays, and wednesdays, so i have a 4 days weekend EVERY weekend! :) another huge difference is that classes here are really small. there are only about 8 students in each class. the students at LdM are from all over the US, so that is pretty cool too.
one of my classroom buildings. a little different from america?

And just like america, you probably don't have to do the readings. It's gonna be ok, so don't worry about the schooling, just enjoy the experience of Italy, baby! Love you!
